Brent Dakis of DOTNN

Taking inspiration from forgotten objects of yesteryear, Brent Dakis strives to evoke a feeling of nostalgia and wonder in those who wear Depths of the Never Never creations.  Responding to each piece in an intuitive manner, often using unorthodox and expressive techniques, Dakis reinterprets the old and beautiful stories of objects with respect to their former glory. 

Dakis’ studio, nestled at the foot of the scenic Dandenong Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia, is crammed full of delectable antique treasures.  Surfaces lay veiled in brass cogs, rusty keys and light globes, and chests swell with an eclectic array of the odd and intricate. It is within the confines of such an environment that Dakis forges a relationship between the old and new, to create jewellery with archaic charm and modern vibrancy.
